Wedding Photographers in Tucson
Like mushrooms, during the summer monsoon season, Wedding Photographers in Tucson, have been popping up all over town. Since I relocated my photography headquarters here to Tucson, in late 2004, I estimate the amount wedding photographers have increased fourfold.
No doubt, the advent of digital photography has fueled much of the increase. The ability to do on the spot viewing, immediately after the creation of an image, has greatly reduced the mystery and anxiety photographers used to feel, during the days of film. The challenging job market may also have generated a spate of part time photographers. What this means to couples, looking for a local wedding photographer is more choices and better deals.
Like buying a home, there has never been a better time to find reasonably priced professional wedding photographers in Tucson, then right now. However, trying to find a good wedding photographer at a good price is not easy. Because there are so many photographers around, the challenge is sifting through the maze. Do not be fooled! In this industry, high price tags do not always translate into better quality. (Some photographers are just better at business matters.) Likewise, for the quantity of stuff you receive. Who cares if you are promised three wedding albums for the price of one, if you are not going to like most of the images? These days everyone has a camera and everybody is photographer. However, at the end of day, the quality of the work is what separates the amateur from the professional. Beware, I commonly see newcomers jump into the field and price their work the same as professional wedding photographers, who have been doing it for years. Most photographers become better with experience, not always of course. Some newcomers can be good right out of the shoot, but that is extremely rare. It takes most photographers years, if not decades, to hone their craft.
Wedding Photography ~ No Job for Amatuers
Wedding photography is still not a job for an aspiring, inexperienced amateur. For all its importance and many intricacies, if there was ever an event that demands the services of a professional photographer it is a wedding, and not just any professional photographer, but one who has weathered the trials and tribulations of photographing wedding ceremonies and celebrations.
For obvious reasons, you would not hire a doctor that specializes in feet to perform an appendectomy. Similarly, it is not a good idea to entrust a still life or fashion photographer, as examples, to photograph your wedding. It is not what they specialize in and it is not where their experience lies. Many professional photographers find the pace of weddings too frenzied and chaotic, prompting them to specialize and adhere to other forms of photography, instead.
I hope you will take a thorough look at my website! While the Art of photography is largely subjective individual taste, I think you will agree that I am not short on experience.
