Tucson Wedding Places Sign - Corona Ranch

Corona Ranch Wedding Photography

Back to Wedding Locations in Tucson.

Corona Ranch in Tucson, is located on Snyder Road, about a mile east from Kolb Road. It is a pretty setting, away from the hustle and bustle, of downtown. I have photographed several weddings there, some formal, some laid-back and many employing a western styled theme. Wedding couples, who have had their weddings here, say they love the laid back style of the ranch and tell me the price of renting the facility is as attractive as the views of Catalina Mountains. Here are some photos from a few of the weddings, I have photographed there.

Desori
Desori poses for a few bridal portraits, at Corona Ranch in Tucson, Arizona.
Desori was the first bride I had the pleasure of photographing at Corona Ranch. I took these pictures on the porch, just outside of her room. Her bouquet was about as beautiful as any I have ever seen.

David and Maria
Maria and David laugh it up, during weddig pictures, at Corona Ranch.
After having their wedding at a nearby church, newlyweds, David and Maria, pose for a few photos, on the grounds of the Corona Ranch. It was not me, supplying the jokes. David did just fine on his own.

Getting Down on the Dance Floor

Wedding Ceremonies at Corona Ranch
Spring Wedding Corona Ranch.
Outdoor wedding ceremonies at Corona Ranch occur on the lawn, which from my experience, at least, is always lush and green. Most wedding couples, having the reception at Corona Ranch, also have their ceremony there. The images above are from the wedding of Desori and Brian, set in the spring. The photography angles I chose to use are predicated on the direction of the sun, how it illuminates various points around the ceremony. In this case the ceremony was held late enough in the day, that it cast shading throughout most of the ceremony site, enabling me to capture a lot of good angles from different places.

Wedding Ceremonies at Corona Ranch
Summer Wedding Corona Ranch.
The wedding of Valerie and Austin was set in June, when the mesquite trees are lush and green. With the sun now setting later in the day, there is little in the way of shade, to cool guest. The harsh directional sunlight also makes photographic angles trickier to negotiate for wedding photographers, like me, who still have to the best they can to obtain great and memorable photos, regardless of the situation.

Austin and Valerie
Austin and Valerie take part in a few wedding photos by the adobe brick at Corona Ranch.
An area of adobe brick at Corona Ranch is a great spot to capture atypical photos of the bride and groom and the wedding party. Many wedding couples at Corona Ranch love the idea of unconventional photos like these, while others prefer more traditional type wedding photos on the lawn. Most couples, however, want a bit of both worlds.

Sheriff Mike and his Deputies
Images of the Bride and Groom kissing at the head table and just about everywhere else, too.
The deperados and I calmly proceed to take pictures, knowing full well the first monsoon storm of the season was about to descend upon us. With the rain, came cooler air. Top right, after seeking shelter in his room, Sheriff Mike looks out to see what is coming down. As monsoon storms typically go, we were back in business about a half hour later.

By the way if you are looking for a wedding photographer to photograph your wedding at Corona Ranch,
I just happen to know of one, that is pretty good. His prices happen to be pretty good too!
